Recession or Transition: Which One Are You In?

Greetings,

Blessings this holiday season to you and your loved ones. I pray that everyday finds you stronger, better and wiser. Thanks Myron! I realize these are tough times, but I stopped by to ask you a question. Are you in a recession or are you in transition? It's amazing how your answer is determined by the way you think. I truly believe that as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. There is something very interesting about this scripture (Proverbs 23:7). Most of us would automatically realize that we think in our head, not our heart. I challenge you to take a deeper look at the statement.

We have lots of thoughts that come and go all day long. Some thoughts are good, some bad. Some of the thoughts are so subtle that we don't even give them our attention. But, the thoughts that are connected to our emotions, heartfelt emotions, are the ones that we meditate on. These thoughts create our words which controls our actions and ultimately end up developing our character and our destiny. So now let's look at the statement again. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.

With that said, I will ask the question again. Are you in a recession or a transition? For those of you who are in a recession and think you're not going to make it, I challenge you to research your history. A great place to start is with your bible. Read you bible and see how many times there was a famine, plague, or recession. Pay attention to how they were delivered. Once you do that, evaluate you thinking process. If you've had a change of heart, come back and read this article. Your time is very valuable and I ask that you not waste it by continuing to read because this is not for you.

For those of you who are in transition, congratulations! I say congratulations because you are going from chaos to cosmos. You understand that you are having growing pains. But once this season of growth is completed, you will be stronger than you were before, better, smiling so much more, and wiser.

I am reading a book titled, "Think and Grow Rich" by Napolean Hill. I think the title is a wonderful concept. Anyone interested in a free copy of the book, please read this entire article and then visit http://apwebinar.com/tjrobinson. It will be emailed to you immediately. While you are there, take a look around the site for some interesting information.

We have been taught to go to school, get good grades, get a good job, and work hard so we can retire and live the life of luxury sometime 30 years later. There is nothing wrong with this plan, if it's what you want to do. I advocate education. I am in the process of going back to school myself. I believe you must work. The bible says, do business until Jesus returns. I just don't think you have to work for 30 years before you can retire.

I challenge you to think in your heart and find out what moves you passionately. God has given each of us gifts and talents. Stir up your gift. The bible says, your gift will make room for you. If you don't think you have a gift, I'll tell you the one we all have. It's called creativity. God created us in His image. The bible says that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. God created everything. He gave you the same ability, and you're using it whether you know it or not. God thought it. He said it and He saw it.

Whatever your situation is, it's because of how you think in your heart and what you speak out of your mouth. If you do not like your situation, change how you think and what you say. How do you transition the way you think and what you say? As my Bishop would say, I'm glad you asked. You accomplish this by reading self improvement books. The #1 book in this category is the bible. Some other titles are "As A Man Thinketh", "Reposition Yourself", and "No Matter What" (Lisa Nichols). You also look at inspiring movies like "Facing The Giants", "The Secret" and "The Pursuit of Happyness". You can also get a mentor or a life coach, but get a good one. All these things are avenues to your mind. Whatever you put in it is what you will get out of it. What have you been putting in your mind?

The last idea for today is this, I believe the quickest way to make anything happen for yourself is to help manifest it in the life of someone else who wants it as well. It's the Law of Sowing and Reaping, give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over... (Luke 6:38). More millionaires were created during the Depression than any other time in history. This is because they transitioned their mindset from what can be done for me, to, what can I do to help others. They transitioned from an employee to a business owner, providing a needed service. According to Zig Ziglar, if you help enough people get what they want, you'll get what you want by default.

God bless you!!

Until next time,

T.J. Robinson
