As you know, we only have one day left in this year. Wow, that was fast! Thank God it was fast because it was also rough. 2009 was one of the roughest years we’ve had in a long time. But I have good news. Remember the silver lining? YOU MADE IT!!!!!!! God placed you in such a time as this because He knew you would be steadfast, tenacious, and determined. He knew you wouldn’t quit.
In this edition of Let’s Talk, we’re going to focus on reflection. Let’s take the time, with this last day quickly approaching, to evaluate ourselves. Take a real honest analysis of the accomplishments and failures experienced in 2009. Let's evaluate what went wrong so we don’t repeat it.
We must do this or this failure will destroy all signs of ambition. We must exam our experiences. Let's glean the heartfelt lessons of our triumphs as well as our defeats. Why not fill our quivers with the lessons that motivate and activate while disposing of the lessons that procrastinate and deviate?
I mentioned in a previous edition that I have been reading "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. Every time I think I’m finish, I read it again. I have learned so many valuable lessons by reading this book. Anyone interested in a free copy of this book can visit “Think and Grow Rich”. It will be emailed to you immediately. While you are there, take a look around for some interesting information.
I’ve learned there are thirty one major reasons for failure. In the month of January, Let’s Talk will explore one reason per day in an effort to expose and expound upon the lessons found there in. I think it's a good idea to have the book to better understand the concepts discussed. We will explore all thirty one concepts in an effort to reveal those things that may have materialized failure in our lives, relationships, and businesses in 2009. We want them exposed so we can take advantage of Another Chance to Begin: 2010, which is the name of the series starting in January. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new (II Corinthians 5:17).
If you will walk with me, together we can experience thirty one days of pruning to enjoy a lifetime of prosperity. Prosperity to me is more than money. It means wholeness, nothing missing, nothing broken. The day of the “go-getter” has passed. He has been supplanted by the “go-giver” (Think and Grow Rich). Let’s purify ourselves, so we can serve in a spirit of excellence.
See you on the other side!
God Bless!
T.J. Robinson
