ANOTHER CHANCE TO BEGIN TO "THINK AND GROW RICH" IN 2010: UNFAVORABLE BACKGROUND

Greetings,

This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24). We will rejoice because WE MADE IT! Thank God!!! We have a chance to begin again. It doesn’t matter what we’ve done or where we’ve been. Today we can begin again. I believe it was said that failure is an opportunity to start over again better. Thomas Edison tried to create the light bulb filament 10,000 times before he got it right. Let’s have the same tenacity and reflect on 2009 so we can begin again better.

Welcome to the first edition of Let’s Talk for the year 2010. Previously, I mentioned that we would dedicate the month of January to studying the thirty-one major reasons for failure. In “Think and Grow Rich”, Napoleon Hill conducted an analysis of thousands of men and women and uncovered the thirty-one major reasons for failure. We will expound on one daily during the month of January. If you have yet to download your free copy of the book, please visit “Think and Grow Rich” and download your copy today. While you are there take a look around the site for some interesting information.

Let me first start by saying, “Think and Grow Rich” is no ordinary book. It is a book that you must be ready for mentally. If you are not mentally ready, the book will not hold your attention. I know. I tried to read it four times before.

So let’s dive right in. The first of the thirty-one reasons is unfavorable hereditary background. Here it is speaking of someone who is born with a deficiency in brain power. Although there is nothing that can be done about this type of lack, it does not mean the end of the world for someone born with this condition. There is a way of bridging the gap. You must be able to surround yourself with people who are strong where you are weak. You have to develop your own Master Mind Group.

We will use a fictional character to illustrate a realistic point. Let’s take a walk in the life of Forrest Gump for a moment, if you will. Forrest Gump was not a smart man. But he somehow ended up as a hero, successful businessman and a loving father. In Forrest Gump’s life, the support team came to him. Let us remember, this is television. You must do this for yourself. But the lesson is one of great value. Forrest was an extremely good listener and he did exactly what he was advised to do. We can learn a lot from this example.

Even if you are not as smart as the next man, surround yourself with people who believe in you and who have your best interest at heart. Listen carefully to what you are told by people you trust, and then act upon it. Remember, the world does not compensate you for your knowledge. It compensates you for what you do with the knowledge you have acquired. You can create a dynasty in spite of your short fall if you have the right Master Minds to assist you.

Finally, know that this is the only one of the thirty-one reasons for failure that may not be easily corrected. The other thirty causes can be corrected quite easily. Your success is fully contingent upon you doing an honest analysis and purposefully correcting your inadequacies.

I am so looking forward to us chipping away the layers of hearts calcified by the year 2009 and revealing expanded, more loving, healthy beating hearts ready to embrace life in 2010.

Another Chance to Begin: 2010 (Day #2) will address our purpose in life. Remember, without a vision, the people perish (Proverbs 29:18). We wish that none perish so let’s find out what our purpose is so that we may have a vision of where we are going.

I would love to hear your feedback. Your comments and/or questions are welcomed. Here on Let’s Talk, we can be transparent and find no condemnation. I look forward to us helping one another to grow.

Until tomorrow,

God Bless

T.J. Robinson

Here's a quote for you:

Opportunity is missed by most people because it
is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
